5 arguments that LNG is compatible with the green deal
LNG is non carbon-neutral. With current measures and policies, it is hardly possible to reach GHG emission targets. The usage of non-carbon LNG creates a challenge to reach them.
HOWEVER...

It is the cleanest fossil fuel on the path of decarbonization. Highly polluting fossil fuel sources like oil or coal are non-compliant with the Green Deal vision, and it is not possible to instantly and fully replace them by renewables. This is why LNG is a less polluting justifiable energy alternative.
